According to ISO regulations, the unit of spur gear size is usually "modulus".In recent years, the pressure angle is usually set to 20 degrees.In commercial machinery, it is most common to use a part of the involute curve as the tooth profile.

Even if it is not limited to spur gears, when it is necessary to slightly adjust the center distance or strengthen the gear teeth, use tooth profile shift gears.They are produced by adjusting the distance between gear cutting tools called hobbing tools and gears during the production stage.When the gear shift is positive, the bending strength of the gear is increased, and when the gear is negative, the center distance is slightly reduced.Backlash is the gap between the teeth when two gears mesh, which is necessary for the smooth rotation of the gears.Too much backlash will increase vibration and noise, while too small backlash will cause tooth failure due to insufficient lubrication.

SZP group spur gear has an involute tooth profile.In other words, they are involute gears that use part of the involute curve as the tooth profile.

In general, the involute shape is the most extensive gear tooth profile. Among other reasons, it has the ability to absorb small center distance errors, easy-to-manufacture production tools simplify manufacturing, and the tooth root thickness makes it strong.
